We believe plastering is not simply a finish, but a craft rooted in tradition, patience, and material integrity. Every surface we create is shaped by hand, guided by experience, and finished with intention.

We work with natural, established materials chosen for their beauty, durability, and ability to age gracefully. These materials breathe, evolve, and strengthen over time, creating walls that feel alive rather than manufactured.

With every trowel pass and sanded edge—from expansive walls to the smallest details—we preserve old-world methods with complete integrity. From meticulous surface preparation to the final sealing step, no corner is cut. By carefully calculating humidity and timing each stage with precision, our finishes achieve exceptional durability, crafted to last a lifetime.

Lead Artisan Daniel Durakovic began his apprenticeship at Fresco Decorative Arts in 2017. After two and a half years immersed in the craft of decorative plastering, he continued his training under master applicator Gelu Pislaru, refining traditional, old-world Venetian plaster techniques. Daniel later established his own studio in Long Island City. Shortly thereafter, he began a lasting professional relationship with Claylime, becoming their certified applicator for the U.S and continuing a strong collaboration to this day.

His hands have traveled the world, contributing to grand projects for a discerning international clientele. In addition to his work with plaster, Daniel sculpts stone and takes classes at The Art Students League.
